Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University basketball fans filled the 3rd-level Governors Club area as Wendy’s of Clarksville and the Austin Peay Alumni office hosted the Peay Basketball Premiere, Thursday night.

Head men’s basketball coach Dave Loos introduced his team and staff. This Govs edition includes five upperclassmen along with five sophomores and four freshman. The youthful Govs are set to open exhibition play, Saturday, when they host Central Missouri in a 7:30pm tipoff. The first regular-season home game is set for November 9th when they host Samford.
Lady Govs head coach Carrie Daniels also introduced her team and staff. The Lady Govs are a similar makeup, comprised of five upperclassmen, three sophomores and seven freshman. Daniels’ squad is scheduled for a Monday, November 5th, exhibition with Martin Methodist. They play their first regular-season home game, November 15th, when they host nationally-ranked Louisville.
Austin Peay President Tim Hall closed the program thanking fans for their support and encouraging a continued following of Govs and Lady Govs basketball.
