The Final Horne: Graves featured in video in latest Lady Vols practice report

The Final Horne: with James D. HorneClarksville TN – Clarksville High School alumni Bashaara Graves will be a freshman on the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team this year, along with Northeast High School alum and Lady Vols senior Kamiko Williams.

Graves was featured in the latest practice report on the Lady Vols Basketball team on its web site at UT Sports.com.

Bashaara is just one in the long line of great women basketball players from the area. In my time here I’ve seen the likes of April Thomas (APSU), Dawn Evans (James Madison), Jasmin Shuler (TSU), Williams and then of course the fab five of Graves, Chandler Cooper (Florida), Jessy Ward (Mississippi St.), Tiasha Gray (APSU) and Tia Nicholson (TN Tech). And of course Pat Head Summit got the ball rolling.

For me, seeing Bashaara  transition from the purple and gold of Clarksville High to the Orange and light blue of the Lady Vols is a cool thing.

And she is getting to be a big part of history in playing for new coach Holly Warlick as she takes over the reigns of the Lady Vols program.

So here’s the YouTube Video featuring Bashaara!
