Clarksville TN-Voters are turning out in steady numbers all across Clarksville-Montgomery County today as America votes in the 2012 Presidential Election. Montgomery County Election Commission officials say there have been no reports of major voting problems at any of their polling locations.
Clarksville Online had visited several locations throughout the morning and the number of people who had voted varied from each location.
Clarksville Online reminds voters that polls remain open until 7:00pm. Be sure to cast your vote. If you’re not certain where you vote, contact the Montgomery-County Election Commission at 931-648-5707.
Some early reports
- Smith Elementary School had 107 voters by 9:45am.
- Madison Street United Methodist Church had 100 voters by 10:15am
- Wilma Rudolph Events Center had 350 voters by 10:30am
- Cumberland Heights Elementary School had 380 voters by 10:40am
- Byrns Darden Elementary School had 386 voters by 11:15am
- New Providence United Methodist Church had 508 voters by 1:15pm
Precinct Captains report sporadic problems reaching Election Commission Headquarters because of the heavy call load. A few voters have reported to the wrong polling location. Some voters were not registered. A significant number of first-time voters have been coming out to vote.
