Tennesse Bureau of Investigation on Scene After Man is Killed in Clarksville Police Officer Involved Shooting

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is on scene at a Pond Apple Road residence in Clarksville, TN after a 46 old man is shot by a Clarksville Police Officer after presenting an imminent danger to the neighborhood and officers who had responded to a threats call.

On November 10th, 2012, around 5:26pm, Clarksville Police Officers were called to a Pond Apple Drive residence after 911 received a call about a man threatening to kill himself and his wife or anyone who tried to enter the residence. «Read the rest of this article»

Austin Peay Football’s Jake Ryan sets school record in Governors 38-23 loss to Jacksonville State Gamecocks

Austin Peay State University GovernorsJacksonville, AL – Despite a record-setting performance by Jake Ryan, Austin Peay State University could not stave off a Jacksonville State comeback as it fell to the Gamecocks, 38-23, Saturday in Ohio Valley Conference play at JSU Stadium.

APSU fell to 1-9 on the season, 0-7 in the OVC while Jacksonville State Improved to 6-4 and ended OVC play at 5-3.

Tennessee Gun Season for Deer opens November 17th

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – One of Tennessee’s traditions is the annual opening of gun season for deer which falls on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The 2012 season opens November 17th.

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay’s volleyball team hosted more than 20 area youth at Saturday’s free postgame volleyball clinic.

The Lady Govs wrapped up their season with an Ohio Valley Conference defeat to league-leader Morehead State. Austin Peay expects a four-seed in the upcoming OVC Tournament which will be hosted in Morehead, KY.

Fourth-Seeded Austin Peay Lady Govs Volleyball faces Tennessee State in OVC Tournament Opener

 

Ohio Valley ConferenceBrentwood, TN – The fourth-seeded Austin Peay State University volleyball team will begin the Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Championship against fifth-seed Tennessee State in a 4:30pm, Thursday contest at Wetherby Gym in Morehead, KY.

The Lady Govs finished the regular season with a 17-15 overall record and 10-6 OVC mark. They will face a Tennessee State squad they defeated in four sets, October 27th, in Nashville, TN.

Command Sgt. Maj. Ron Dvorsky, the 159th CAB’s command sergeant major, said the brigade’s soldiers continue to exemplify this creed by repeatedly showing exemplary performance during the Warrior Leader Course at Fort Campbell, KY.
