Clarksville Police Department to conduct Imparied Driving Saturation Patrols, November 16th and 17th, 2012

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is conducting city-wide impaired driving saturation patrols, partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office, November 16th and 17th, 2012, 10:00pm – 4:00am.

The intention of the saturation patrols is to detect and apprehend impaired drivers through increased traffic enforcement.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Recovers Amber Alert Victim

Suspects facing charges

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation recovered the 2-month-old victim of an overnight abduction and AMBER Alert after the suspect, knowing he was wanted, turned the infant over to a TBI agent and other U.S. Marshals Task Force officers who returned the infant to the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office this morning.

An AMBER Alert was issued for Eric Goolsby who was taken by 38-year-old Eric Owens, of Antioch, Tenn. On November 13th, 2012, the Gallatin Police Department was contacted by the victim’s current guardian for assistance in finding the child.

Morehead, KY – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team begins play in the 2012 Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Championship with a 3:30pm, Thursday contest against Tennessee State at Wetherby Gym.

Austin Peay Women’s Volleyball takes on Tennessee State Thursday in the Ohio Valley Conference Vollyball Championship.

Operation Eagles Nest assists families during deployment

Clarksville TN – November 11th was Veteran’s Day.  November 22nd is Thanksgiving Day.  It is rare that only eleven days separate these two days of thankfulness. Nikki Doyle becomes Austin Peay Lady Govs Volleyball’s first three-time All-OVC pick

Brentwood, TN – Senior outside hitter Nikki Doyle became the first Austin Peay State University volleyball player to receive three first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors when she was selected to the 2012 All-OVC team, Wednesday.

Doyle was the only Austin Peay volleyball player named to the 14-member All-OVC team. Morehead State’s Ellie Roberson was the league’s Player of the Year and led the balloting on the squad.

Scientific jargon and technical terms often bog down interviews and simple conversations, occasionally leaving people more confused than when they started listening to these individuals.

Heritage Park Skatepark closed temporarily for maintenance

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department would like to remind citizens that the Heritage Park Skate Park is closed temporarily to conduct maintenance.

The Skate park, located at 1241 Peachers Mill Road, will be closed through November 30th, 2012. The Skate park will return to their normal operating hours December 1st, 2012.
