Blanchfield Army Community Hospital streamlines clinic hours, opens more appointments during peak hours

Walk-in services continue to be available

Blanchfield Army Hospital - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – After surveying the times patients were least likely to visit their primary care clinics, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital leadership has decided to reduce clinic hours and offer more appointments during peak times.

In addition, BACH is now offering an increased number of same day appointments. Patients may contact the Call Center beginning at 6:00am Monday through Friday to schedule a same day appointment.

BACH primary care clinics new hours are below

Gold Medical Home Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
Byrd Family Clinic Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm
Screaming Eagle Medical Home Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (no change)

 

Patients may still receive many health care services on a walk-in basis or by telephone consultation. Walk-in services include pregnancy testing and medication renewals for existing prescriptions to getting treatment for diaper rash, ringworm and urinary tract infections, and more.

The Call Center can assist patients in deciding whether they can be served on a walk-in basis, by telephone consultation or if an appointment is necessary. Walk-in services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Although medical providers are at lunch from 11:30am to 12:30pm, patients are welcome to check in during the lunch hour. Patients should expect a little longer wait for walk-in services until clinic staff members return at 12:30pm.

The following services are available as a walk-in service in your assigned clinic unless noted:

Suspected:

  • Strep Throat (patients 2 years old and older)
  • Diaper Rash (patients less than 2 months old)
  • Pink Eye (1 to 25 years old)
  • Ringworm (other than on the scalp)
  • Pinworm (patients 2 years old and older)
  • Thrush (patients one to 12 months old)
  • Yeast Infection (16 years old and older)
  • Urinary tract Infection (16 years old and above)
  • Prescription renewals
  • Immunizations (patients 2 years old and older)
  • Blood Pressure Checks (previously ordered by provider)
  • Contraceptive management, including Depo-Provera shots when due, with a prescription (other than initial shot)
  • Draw Blood, previously ordered by provider (patients 1 year old and above in the Lab, under 1 year old in assigned clinic)
  • Medical Port Flush
  • Pregnancy Tests
  • Painful urination
  • On-going medication injections (e.g. B-12, testosterone, etc.) when due, with a prescription
  • Wound Checks, Stitches Removal, Dressing Changes following an operation or procedure (within the specialty clinic indicated by provider)
  • Drop-off/Pick-up paperwork for:
    • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (school/parent form)
    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
    • Sports physicals

* Turnaround for all administrative paperwork is three business days.
