Montgomery County – Montgomery County Government recently held a food drive to benefit Manna Café. During the month long drive, over 2,600 pounds of food was collected, as well as a $500.00 cash donation.
Thank you to all of the employees and citizens that donated during this time.
Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers states, “We are very pleased with how well our food drive went, and greatly appreciate all of the contributions. It is wonderful to know that all of the food donated will stay local to help those in our community that need assistance.”If you missed out and would like to donate, donations can dropped off at Manna Café at 1319 Franklin Street.
Manna Café Ministries is devoted to meeting the needs of homeless and low-income families in Montgomery County. Manna Café provides four hot meals a week and 50,000 pounds of food in food boxes to over 1,500 local citizens a month.
