Montgomery County seeks candidates for District 7

 

Montgomery CountyMontgomery County TN – The Montgomery County Commission is seeking a replacement for County Commissioner John Fuson in District 7, following his appointment to Sheriff of Montgomery County.

Fuson was chosen by the commission at Monday’s meeting, and immediately resigned his seat on the commission to be sworn in as Sheriff.

According to a press release from Mayor Carolyn Bower’s office:

Montgomery County Government is seeking qualified applicants interested in filling the District 7 County Commission Seat vacancy. This is a position appointment until the next general election in August 2014. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and a resident within and a qualified voter of the district they represent.

Interested candidates may submit a letter of interest, current resume and copy of current voter registration card. Information must be submitted to the Montgomery County Human Resources Department, 1 Millennium Plaza, Suite 111, Clarksville, TN  37040, no later than Friday, December 28th, 2012 for duplication and distribution to the County Commission. Information received after this date will be presented to the County Commission prior to formal commission meeting on January 14th, 2013.
