During the ANSF-led mission, several suspected insurgents were detained for questioning and more than 80 lbs of home-made explosive material was destroyed.

The operation was aimed at destabilizing an alleged safe-haven for anti government activity within the district.

Afghan troops conducted all clearing and questioning operations while the Rakkasans of Company D, 1-187, assisted in facilitating aerial support while supplying additional ground forces.
