Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrests Robertson County Man for Harassment

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, with assistance from deputies with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Millersville Police Department, overnight arrested a Greenbrier, TN man for making threats toward law enforcement.

James Larry Beard, 45, of Gideon Road in Greenbrier initially called a Department of Human Resources office shortly after noon yesterday making demands and stating he was going to “shoot the place up.” TBI was notified.

When agents began investigating Beard’s intentions, he expressed anger toward the government and law enforcement.

A warrant was taken out for his arrest and law enforcement later located Beard walking along Interstate 65. While he was being transported to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Beard threatened to kill one of the TBI Special Agents who was investigating him.

Beard was charged with harassment and booked into the Robertson County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
