Montgomery County Sheriff’s office confirms robbery by meat salesmen

Montgomery County Sheriff's DepartmentClarksville, TN –  The Montgomery County Sheriff’s office has reported that two men who are passing themselves off as meat salesmen, forced their way into a Trough Springs Road residence and demanded money. The incident allegedly occurred at 11:30am, Wednesday morning.

According to sheriff’s officials, the suspects told the resident that they were trying to get to know the community better, and asked if they could leave them their business cards.  When the victim agreed, the suspects forced their way into the residence. According to the report, the two white males pulled out a hand gun and demanded money. The report indicates that only a small amount of money was taken.

The incident has been posted on Facebook, and upon further investigation, Clarksville Online confirmed the crime with Sheriff’s officials.

The suspects are described as white males, with short brown hair, possibly a military haircut, clean shaven and between 5’8″ and 5’10” tall.  One was described as wearing a gray plaid jacket with a hood and the other wore a zip-up jacket with no hood.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s investigators are taking this crime very seriously and warn area residents to be on the look-out, and to contact the Sheriff’s office.
