Clarksville Police Respond to a Runaway Juvenile call which opens the door to solving a String of Crimes Committed by Three Juveniles

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have worked diligently to locate the owners of stolen property which was recovered after responding to High Point Road to take a runaway juvenile report.

On January 4th, 2013, Officer Sean Walden responded to a High Point Road address to take a runaway report on a 17 year old juvenile. While he was at the house, the foster parents found property which did not belong to anyone residing at the High Point Road residence.The property was taken back to the detective division at Clarksville Police Headquarters where the painstaking task of locating the owners began.

The detectives determined the property had been taken between mid-December 2012 and the first week of January 2013 during vehicle, residential, and commercial burglaries and vandalisms in vicinity of  High Point Road, Woodale Drive, Inver Lane, Cleveland Drive, and Lintwood Drive.

Additionally, there was property found which was taken from Fort Campbell Boulevard’s Wal-Mart during the time they were closed for the Christmas Holiday.

The value of the property recovered exceeded $10,000. Also, the runaway juvenile was located later in the day on January 4th.

The investigation by Detectives Chris Nolder, Debra Kolofsky, and Joe Shrum over a two week period lead them to criminally charging three male juvenile suspects, 14, 15, and 17 years of age. The three juveniles lived at the High Point Road residence where the stolen property was recovered.

There total charges filed for the three juveniles combined were:  Aggravated Burglary x 7, Vehicle Burglary x 4, Commercial Burglary x 2, Theft x 2, and Vandalism x 3.

The media coverage of the Wal-Mart theft did yield tips which assisted Police in identifying the Wal-Mart thieves.

All three juveniles are in custody and being held at a juvenile detention facility.
