Fort Campbell to operate on a 2 hour delay tomorrow

 

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Based on degrading weather conditions, Fort Campbell will operate on a 2 hour delay for tomorrow morning, Wednesday, January 16th.

Soldiers report for duty at 0900 or at Commander discretion. Key and essential personnel report as required.

Fort Campbell leadership will continue to monitor the weather and forecasts overnight to determine if additional delays are warranted.

Austin Peay Lady Govs Track and Field’s Chantelle Grey named OVC Co-Track Athlete of the Week

 

Ohio Valley ConferenceBrentwood, TN – Senior Chantelle Grey, of the Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team, has been named adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Track Co-Athlete of the Week. She shares the award with Eastern Kentucky’s Ann Eason.

Grey has been busy during the first few weeks of indoor season. The 2012 NCAA Preliminary Round qualifier in the 800m run owns the best OVC mark in that event so far this season, coming at last week’s Blazer Invite. Her 2:15.37 mark was hundredths of a second away from being the meet’s top time.

Winter Weather AdvisoryMontgomery County, TN – The National Weather Service has issued an ice storm warning for the Clarksville Montgomery County area as well as Middle Tennessee. A wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain is expected to begin this afternoon and continue into the night.

As of 8:45pm, rain continues to fall in the Montogomery County. Ice has already started forming on trees and power lines. Be careful going outside, as sidewalks, etc, have become covered in ice. Clarksville Montgomery County Schools to close early

 

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County School system has announced that schools will close early today. Students will be released one hour earlier than the normal release time today in order to have all bus routes completed before dark. A new weather system is moving into the area mid-afternoon and Emergency Management has advised that our area may see a light wintry mix, which includes the possibility of freezing rain.
