Clarksville, TN – Freshman sprinter Breigh Jones, of the Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Jones finished third in the 400m dash at the 35th annual Niswonger Invitational, Saturday, in Johnson City, TN. She qualified second in the event with a personal-best 58.15 mark, before finishing third in the final at 58.17.

The Memphis native also ran a leg of the 4x400m relay, along with classmate Kymmalett Ross, junior Taelor Slaughter and senior Chantelle Grey. They finished second in the 21-team field with a season-best 3:53.61 run.
The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Tuesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.
Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included
- Junior Will Triggs, of the men’s basketball team, averaged 12 points and 4.5 rebounds in two games for the Govs last week. He shot 66.7 percent (10-of-15) from the field.
