Clarksville Montgomery County School System to kickoff Pre-Kindergarten Applications in March

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery School System will begin taking applications for the 2013-14 CMCSS Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten starting in March.

The applications will be taken on the following dates and school sites from 4:00pm–6:00pm.

March 12th

Norman Smith Elementary School

Cumberland Heights Elementary School

March 13th

Glenellen Elementary School

Northeast Elementary School

March 14th

West Creek Elementary School

Liberty Elementary School

Woodlawn Elementary School

March 19th

Ringgold Elementary School

Byrns Darden Elementary School

March 20th

Kenwood Elementary School

Minglewood Elementary School

Hazelwood Elementary School

March 21st

Moore Magnet School

St. Bethlehem Elementary School

If you are zoned for the following schools please apply at the schools listed:

Montgomery Central Elementary School at Cumberland Heights Elementary School

Rossview Elementary School at St. Bethlehem Elementary School

Barksdale Elementary School at Moore Magnet Elementary School

To be considered for possible placement, parents/guardians must apply.

Your child must be four years old before or on September 30th, 2013 and reside in Clarksville-Montgomery County to be eligible for CMCSS Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten

Please bring the following documents with you when you apply for Pre-K

  1. Official birth certificate
  2. Updated TN Certificate of Immunization and Physical
  3. Proof of residency in Clarksville-Montgomery County (utility bill, rental agreement, lease, or mortgage)
  4. Verification of current income (2 sources)

(Income Tax form 1040A or 1040, Social Security/SSI, TN Care Verification, Veteran’s Benefit Letter, W-2 Form, Unemployment Compensation, Verification of pay by employer, AFDC/ Public Assistance Payment, Child Right Fax Tech, Support, Verification of Families First, or Transitional Families First)

A current LES is required for active military.

Availability is limited and placement is not guaranteed.

Any falsification of information concerning income, residence, birth certificate and/or completion of the application and other forms may be reason for dismissal.
