Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to conduct More Cops, More Stops Enforcement Blitz

Montgomery County Sheriff's DepartmentMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will be out in force on local roadways from January 25th through February 3rdcracking down on unsafe drivers on Montgomery County roads during the winter season. They will be looking primarily for seat belt violators, drunk drivers, those who speed, and distracted drivers.

Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson was quick to point out that enforcement saves lives, “We’re going to be out in force cracking down on those who break our laws with a special More Cops, More Stops Enforcement Blitz.”  He continued,  “While you may think that this nightmare could never happen to you, or your family; the fact remains that the failure to wear a seat belt, driving while intoxicated, speeding, and distracted driving is killing Tennesseans every single day.”

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Spokesman Ted Denny said, “The purpose of the enforcement blitz is to send the public a strong reminder to practice safe driving, and by doing so save more lives on Tennessee roadways.”

This would be a good time to remind Clarksville drivers to ensure that they have their insurance card and vehicle registration in their vehicles, as well as checking to insure that all of your vehicles lights are in proper working order.
