Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators will be without the services of forward Patric Hornqvist for 3-4 weeks after he suffered an injury Saturday night. According to team officials, Hornqvist was injured in the third period of their loss to Anaheim, and was sent back to Nashville for evaluation.
Initial reports indicated that Hornqvist sprained a knee, when Anaheim’s Ryan Getzlaf fell on him. Hornqvist was in obvious pain as he left the ice. He had to be helped off the ice by teammates. According to the Nashville Predators official website, the team has not announced any call-ups from their minor league organization.
The scoring forward has one goal and three assists so far this season, for a team that ranks 26th in goals per game.
