Clarksville Police report Two People Shot when Men walk into Party and start shooting

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are still sorting through different accounts of the sequence of events which occurred at 135 Westfield Court, apartment 106, on January 31st, 2013, around 10:30pm.

Officers responded to several reports of shots fired at 135 Westfield Court. When officers arrived they found a chaotic scene with multiple victims/witnesses in and outside of apartment 106. Officers found one man inside of apartment 106 with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Another man, 27 years old, who had jumped from the balcony, was found outside on the ground with a gunshot wound to his leg and also a hip injury. There was also a 18 year old woman who had sustained an injury to her foot after jumping from the balcony.

After the injured people were removed from the scene, detectives were called in to determine what occurred.
The victims/witnesses accounts varied and changed frequently. There was a general consensus of the events which occurred based on information provided to detectives.

There were several people partying inside of apartment 106. They were playing games, drinking, and some were partaking in marijuana.

At some point, two men possibly known to some of the people inside of the apartment, entered through an unlocked door carrying a handgun and a rifle. The men started yelling at the party goers, people started to scatter, shots were fired, some ran out the door, and others jumped from the balcony or out a window.

When officers arrived, the two men had already left the area. Police gathered victim/witness information and began conducting interviews.

There was very little suspect information provided to officers and the investigation is ongoing.
