The Volunteers enter Wednesday’s game with a 12-10 overall record and a 4-6 mark in SEC play after a 66-61 win over South Carolina Sunday in Columbia. Tennessee is led by Jordan McRae who averages 13.7 points per game. Jarnell Stokes (12.4) and Trae Golden (10.3) also average double figures. Stokes also averages 8.5 rebounds per game, which is fourth in the SEC.

Tennessee defeated Vanderbilt, 58-57, in the first meeting between the two schools on January 29th. The Commodores had two chances at the buzzer to win the game in Knoxville, TN but both came up short. Coach Stallings is 12-16 all-time against Tennessee and 7-6 in games played against the Volunteers at Memorial Gym.

Vanderbilt has made a 3-pointer in 854 consecutive games, a streak which began at the inception of the 3-point line in 1986-87. The Commodores rank second only to UNLV for the longest streak in Division I basketball. Vanderbilt, UNLV and Princeton are the only three schools in college basketball to have made at least one 3-pointer in every game played since the 3-point line was implemented.

The Commodores ended a four-game losing streak and avenged an earlier loss to Arkansas with a 67-49 win over the Razorbacks on Saturday at Memorial Gym. Junior forward Rod Odom led three Vanderbilt players in double figures with 15 points, and helped lead the Commodores to a 50.0% shooting percentage.
