Brentwood, TN –women’s golf team has been selected fifth in a preseason poll of Ohio Valley Conference coaches. That was announced Wednesday by the conference office.
The Lady Govs finished with 46 points. Morehead State, who won the 2011 OVC Championship and was second a year ago, led the voting, picking up eight of the 10 first-place votes and 80 total points in being picked as the preseason favorite.

Brentwood, TN –men’s golf team has been picked to finish second at the Ohio Valley Conference Golf tournament that will be played in late April. That was announced Wednesday as a result of a preseason vote of league coaches.
The Governors received three of the 11 first-place votes, finishing with a total of 91 points, four behind defending OVC tourney champ Jacksonville State, which received the other eight first-place votes.
Clarksville, TN – Wednesday morning, around 9:45am at the EMS Station 23 across the street from the Hilltop Market at 385 Highway 149, a member of the on duty EMS crew smelled smoke, and when checking for the source found the garage where their ambulance was parked engulfed in flames.
As one of the crew responded to the fire, the other called for support from area Fire Departments; units from Clarksville Fire Rescue, Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department, East Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department, and the Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Department responded to help fight the flames which were under control within 20 minutes of the initial call being placed.

Clarksville, TN – Senior Anthony Campbell, of the men’s basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Campbell earned his first career Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week honors for his performance in last week’s road trip, helping the Govs secure two victories. With a pair of 20-point performances over the weekend, Campbell has broken the 20-point barrier nine times in 2012-13.
Golden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area begins its 2013 operations on Friday, March 1st, by opening several popular visitor attractions.
The Homeplace, Woodlands Nature Station, and North and South Welcome Stations open their doors March 1st, along with Energy Lake, Hillman Ferry and Piney Campgrounds.
