APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Tennis
Clarksville, TN – Without the services of senior Sean Bailey, Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team banded together in order to defeat Southern Indiana, 4-3, Saturday, at the Austin Peay Tennis Center.

With Bailey unavailable due to injury, head coach Ross Brown was forced switch doubles line-ups, with the Govs still taking two of three to secure the point. Sophomores Iago Seffrin and Dimitar Ristovski took the top doubles draw, 8-4, over Southern Indiana’s Jack Joyce and Michael Kuzaj.
In his first dual-match doubles action, freshman Evan Borowski teamed with junior Jasmin Ademovic to win the No. 3 draw, 9-7, against Santiago Lopez and Juan Quiroz.
Ademovic ascended to the top spot in singles, dispatching Kuzaj 4-6, 7-6, 6-0 for the victory. Ristovski took down Quiroz, 6-2, 6-1 in No. 2 singles, and sophomore Aleksas Tverijonas moved to 5-0 this season with a 7-5, 6-3 win against Lopez in No. 3 action.
Seffrin, Borowski and senior John Storie each took a loss in singles action.
Austin Peay moves to 3-2 this season, while Southern Indiana falls to 2-2.
The Govs travel to Kennesaw State Friday, March 1st, before returning home to host Lindsey Wilson College, March 5th.
