The bulk of his week’s effort came in a monstrous 3-for-4, six RBI outing against Southern Illinois, Tuesday. Each of his three hits scored two runs – two giving APSU the lead and the third providing key insurance runs in an 11-8 victory.

It was the first six-RBI performance since Greg Bachman‘s six-RBI outing last season against Murray State – one of two he had that season. It also was Massoni’s first three-hit outing as a Governor.

Massoni was quieter in Sunday’s doubleheader against Michigan State, going 2-for-4 with a RBI single in the opener before being held hitless in the nightcap, ending a six-game hit streak.

Austin Peay concludes its three-game series against Michigan State with a 4 p.m., Monday contest at Raymond C. Hand Park.
