Austin Peay State University begins interviews for new football coach
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University will begin interviewing candidates this week for its vacant head football coaching position.

Austin Peay hopes to have its next head coach—the program’s 18th—on board when the Governors spring practice, Monday, March 18th.
The candidates for the position, along with a brief synopsis of their coaching history plus the dates of their respective on-campus interviews, are:

Kirby Cannon, defensive backs coach, Central Michigan, 2010-; head coach, Missouri University of Science and Technology, 1999-2010; assistant football coach, Western Illinois, 1997-99; assistant head coach/defensive coordinator, Northern Michigan, 1995-97; defensive coordinator, Northeast Missouri State (now Truman State), 1993-95; defensive coordinator, North Central College, 1985-89.
