Clarksville Police reports Man steals Large Amount of Money after Locking Delivery Men in the back of the Truck

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Two men were caught by surprise when they were locked in the back of their delivery truck and had the company’s money stolen out of the cab.

On March 3rd, 2013 around 1:30pm, a food company was making a delivery to Chopsticks, 1715 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. The delivery men were inside of the back of the truck when a white male crawled underneath the truck and pulled the rear door down trapping them inside.

He attempted to enter the truck by breaking the passenger side window, but was unsuccessful. He then, ran around to the driver’s side door, broke the window, entered the cab, stole a bag containing a large amount of money and then fled on foot.  This all took place in less than a minute.

An employee from inside of the business came out a short time later and let the two men out.

The suspect was described as a tall, thin, white male, approximately 6’3”.  He was last seen running through the parking lot, headed toward town.
