Austin Peay State University Governors Baseball rallies in the seventh to beat Western Kentucky 7-6

 

Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN - Austin Peay State University’s baseball team rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Wednesday afternoon at Raymond C. Hand Park, to post a come-from-behind 7-6 win over Western Kentucky.

The win by Austin Peay (10-2) ended a six-game losing streak to Western Kentucky, with the last Governors win coming on April 14th, 2009.

I am sure you have seen and heard many reports, rumors and opinions regarding possible furloughs, times of implementation, days off, days of closure, curtailed services, etc.

As of noon March 6th, the Department of Defense and the highest levels of military leadership are merely planning for the worst case scenario of 100% of our Civilian Workforce being affected by Furlough for the entire period of 22 days or 176 hours.

Fort Campbell’s Gate 4 to close Saturday for Repairs

 

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Gate 4 will be closed on Saturday, March 9th for repairs beginning at 8:00am and will remain closed until 5:00pm. All traffic entering or exiting the Installation during this time frame must seek alternate routes using other available gates.

Gate 3 and Gate 5 will be open during the entire duration Gate 4 is closed. Once Gate 4 repairs are complete, Gate 3 and Gate 5 will resume their normal hours of operation.

APSU to kick off new GovTrails on March 27th

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – A walking trail at Austin Peay State University is becoming a reality, thanks to a state grant awarded to the University to designate the trails on campus and organize other efforts to encourage a healthier lifestyle.

The public is invited to walk GovTrails during a kick-off celebration at 11:30am, Wednesday, March 27th in the Morgan University Center plaza. This event will be held rain or shine.

Austin Peay State University to host 61st annual Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Later this month, more than 100 middle and high school students throughout middle Tennessee will converge on the Austin Peay State University campus to participate in the 61st annual Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair (MTSEF).
