APSU Lady Govs Tennis loses to Lipscomb

Clarksville, TN –Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team had opportunities but could not overcome Lipscomb, falling 4-3 at the Governors Tennis Center, Tuesday.

Austin Peay took the top two singles matches as well. Carre defeated Welcher (6-3, 6-2) in No. 1, while Di Salvo knocked off Kromer (6-2, 6-1) in No. 2.
Cornea battled Djuknic in a three-set match, falling 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 in No. 3 singles. Tavares lost the first set to Bellini in No. 4 singles, but was forced to retire.
The Lady Govs hit the road for the first time in two weeks when face Northern Kentucky, 11:00am, Saturday in Highland Heights, KY.
