Clarksville Christian School Gains Additional Accreditation Status

Clarksville Christian SchoolClarksville, TN – The world’s largest educational accrediting organization has announced that Clarksville Christian School (CCS) has been granted formal accreditation by its governing body.

AdvancED (formerly SACS—Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) recently notified CCS of its decision.  This most recent accreditation now makes CCS a dually accredited school, having also received accreditation from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) last July.

From the inception of Clarksville Christian School in 2007, the desire has been to strive for excellence. CCS has undergone an intensive and rigorous five-year process to earn this distinction.  The benefits of affiliation with organizations such as AdvancED and ACSI hold CCS to a higher standard and degree of accountability.

Benefits that will be appreciated by students and their parents will include greater access to federal loans, scholarships, and post-secondary education and military programs that require students to attend an accredited institution, as well as ease in transferring of credits.   The granting of accreditation by AdvancED coincides nicely with the graduation of Clarksville Christian School’s first senior class, anticipated for the 2013-14 school year.

Upper School Principal Amanda Binkley states, “The accreditation status given to CCS by both ACSI and AdvancED will give the students who graduate from CCS all the same rights and privileges as students who graduate from any school in Tennessee, public or private.  Dual accreditation ensures that students will have access to college preparation (ACT, SAT, Dual Enrollment, etc.) and full recognition of their diplomas by colleges and universities. Accreditation allows us to compete academically with any school, large or small, in the quality education that we can provide to our students.”
