Clarksville Police arrest Man for Vehicle Burglary who was just release on bond March 15th

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On March 14th, 2013, Clarksville Police Officers had to chase and fight with Michael Ryan Frazier, who was already out on Bond for a DUI in January 2013, after he shoplifted two flat screen TVs from a Madison Street store.

He was taken in custody and booked into Montgomery County Jail on March 15th shortly after midnight, charged with: Theft, Evading, and Resisting; Bond: $3,000. He was bonded out on March 15th, shortly after being booked.

On March 17th, around noon, Police responded to a theft of services call after Frazier had utilized a cab and was unable to pay the fare. The call lead to officers Marvin Carnagey and Justin Pequignot finding a checkbook in Frazier’s possession which did not belong to him.

As the investigation progressed, Detective Nick Newman determined Frazier had stolen the checks during a vehicle burglary and had attempted to cash two of them at different financial institutions, but was unsuccessful.

During the course of an interview with Frazier, he admitted to entering over 25 unlocked vehicles, after he was released from jail, at residences and apartments off of Madison Street, but only took items from about five of the vehicles.

On March 17th, 2013, around 6:30pm, Michael Ryan Frazier was booked into Montgomery County Jail and charged with: Two Counts of Vehicle Burglary and Two Counts of Forgery. He had made his bond and been released.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
