Austin Peay State University GovernorsMurray, KY – Senior starting pitcher Casey Delgado struck out a career-high 10 batters and Austin Peay State University’s baseball team clinched its sixth consecutive Ohio Valley Conference series with a 10-3 victory against Murray State, Friday, at Reagan Field.

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency receives Teaming with Wildlife Award for partnerships for Hellbenders Research

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has been honored with the Teaming with Wildlife Award for Partnerships for its collaborative research on hellbenders in Tennessee.

Bill Reeves, TWRA Chief of Biodiversity, received the award in a ceremony in Washington, D.C. at the Rayburn House Office Building. The award is the culmination of extensive work on the current status of the species of giant salamanders that is endemic to eastern North America.

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Track and Field

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team will host the APSU Invitational, Saturday, at Governors Stadium.

The field events are scheduled to begin at 9:00am with the hammer throw, with the track events scheduled to begin at 11:00am, with the 400m relay.

Clarksville Police arrest Husband and Wife at Drive Thru for DUI

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – A husband and wife were arrested after Clarksville Police received a call about a vehicle at Taco Bell’s drive thru window with intoxicated occupants inside the vehicle.

On March 29th, 2013, around 12:19am, Clarksville Police Officers responded to the drive thru of Taco Bell, 788 North Riverside Drive in reference to a possible intoxicated driver.

Tennessee Selects More Than 700 Teachers to Help Lead Common Core Transition

 

Tennessee Department of EducationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Education is enlisting the help of more than 700 teachers to help their peers navigate the transition to the Common Core State Standards.

This year’s cohort will help lead 5 weeks of summer trainings on the Common Core math, English/language arts and literacy standards, reaching more than 30,000 teachers across the state.
