Tennessee Titans pick Alabama Offensive Guard Chance Warmack in the 10th Round of the 2013 NFL Draft

Tennessee TitansOG Chance WarmackNashville, TN – With the 10th selection of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans take Alabama Offensive Guard Chance Warmack.

Warmack was unanimous first team All-American, first team All-Sec, had a team best 37 pancake blocks, made only two penalties in 732 snaps and had 39 career starts at left guard for Alabama.

The 6-foot-2, 317-pound Warmack was widely considered the top guard and one of the top overall players in this year’s draft class.

In the NFL Combine, he ran a 4.49 40 yard dash and had a 111.0 inch broad jump. Warmack went to Westlake High School. Atlanta Georgia is his hometown.

In 2012, he was one of the senior leaders on the Crimson Tide offensive line. First-team All-America selection by the AFCA, FWAA, Walter Camp, AP, Sporting News and Sports Illustrated. A veteran of 39 career starts, all at left guard. He was on the watch list for the Outland Trophy (top interior lineman) and a quarterfinalist for the Lombardi Award (top lineman or linebacker).

He missed only seven assignments in 728 snaps last season (99.0 percent) while allowing only 3.5 sacks in 287 pass attempts. He graded out at 90 percent or better in seven games, with a season average of 89.4.

Warmack was two-time SEC offensive lineman of the week (Arkansas & Mississippi State) and three-time Alabama offensive player of the week.  He blocked for eight 100-yard rushing performances last season and 23 in his career. He helped open holes for 224.6 yards of rushing offense per game last season (20th nationally) while blocking as part of for 439.1 yards per game of total offense.
