APSU Governors Baseball split OVC doubleheader at Eastern Kentucky Colonels

 

Austin Peay State University Governors SportsRichmond, KY – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team settled for a split of its Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader at Eastern Kentucky, dropping the opener 2-1 before winning the nightcap 10-8, Friday at Turkey Hughes Field.

Austin Peay State University’s Chantelle Grey places ninth at Drake Relays

 

Austin Peay State University Governors SportsDes Moines, Iowa – A windy day at Friday’s Drake Relays hindered Austin Peay State University senior Chantelle Grey, but did not break the Missoula, MT, native. Grey finished ninth in a tough 800m run field at the Drake Track Complex.

Tennessee Titans took Missouri linebacker Zaviar Gooden with the 97th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft

Entries on display at several Middle Tennessee locations through April 30th

Catholic Charities of TennesseeNashville, TN– Nine Middle Tennessee students, grades K-8, attending schools in Clarksville, Gallatin, and Nashville have been honored for their winning entries in the 2013 Child Abuse Prevention Poster Contest sponsored by Catholic Charities of Tennessee.

The more than 150 entries received illustrated the theme, “The best family memories are made of…”

Hunter becomes the 332nd Tennessee product selected in the NFL Draft, and the 29th to be taken in the second round.

Hunter was fourth in SEC in catches per game (6.1), 37th in NCAA in 2012. He led the Vols with 73 catches for 1,083 yards and nine receiving touchdowns.
