Tennessee Titans select Connecticut cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson with the 70th overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft

Tennessee TitansBlidi Wreh-WilsonNashville, TN – In the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans use the 70th overall pick to take Connecticut cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson.

Wreh-Wilson is a 6-foot-2, 190 pound tough cornerback. He has the speed to close with receivers quickly after the catch if playing off and can use his hands and long arms to bat away balls.

In the NFL Combine, he ran a 4.53 second 40 yard dash, had a 36 inch vertical and did a 128 inch broad jump. Wreh-Wilson’s hometown is Edinboro, PA. He attended General McLane High School.

In 2012, Wreh-Wilson played in and started 11 games for the Huskies Hew as honored as the team’s Most Valuable Player. He was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team.

He recorded 47 tackles on the season, He made seven tackles at Western Michigan (September 22nd), Rutgers (October 6th) and USF (November 3rd). Blidi had five tackles, a career-high four pass breakups and an interception in the end zone during the second overtime in a win at Louisville (November 24th)

He made 39 starts in 46 career games with UCONN. He posted 181 career tackles and eight interceptions for 171 return yards and a pair of scores.
