Stark, out of Memphis’ Fairley High School, led the Govs with 67 catches for 774 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2012, is Austin Peay’s first alum to join an NFL camp since Jeff Gooch joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1996 as an un-drafted free agent; Gooch went on to a 10-year NFL career with the Buccaneers and Detroit Lions.

“It is great day for Austin Peay and the football program,” APSU wide receivers coach Marcus Gildersleeve said. “I am so happy for him.

“Devin is the type young man who will survive in that type of environment. He is such a hard worker. He also is a disciplined kid. I never had one problem with him—you told him to be somewhere and when and Devin was there. Great for him!”

Last season, the 6-3, 206-pound Stark became the 13th Governor to amass 1,000 career receiving yards. He finished his Austin Peay career with 142 receptions (tied for fourth all-time), 1,701 receiving yards (sixth) and 19 touchdowns (second).

The Redskins rookie minicamp begins Friday, May 4th. Organized Team Activities (OTA’s) begin May 20th, with training camp scheduled for late July in Richmond, Virginia.
