Austin Peay State University and USO to host “Dine on our Dime” Sunday during Governors Baseball game

Austin Peay State University Governors SportsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University joins forces with Fort Campbell’s United Services Organization (USO) to host “Dine On Our Dime,” at 1:00pm, Sunday, when Govs baseball hosts Morehead State at Raymond C. Hand Park.

"Dine on our Dime" this Sunday at APSU baseball game

The featured event, spearheaded by the USO, takes place each month at different community or business partner, offering a family meal to anyone with an Active Duty Military or Dependent ID card. Coincidently, anyone with a valid military ID card (including active duty or retired) receives free admission and opportunities for discounted season tickets to all Austin Peay athletics events.

“The mission of the USO is to lift the spirits of troops and families,” said Kari Burgess, Director of USO at Ft. Campbell. “It’s hard to argue that free meals and events like this don’t make people smile. We’re really excited to have an opportunity to do something extra and offer a free meal with the APSU baseball game for our May dinner.”

Fans who present a valid ID card will be invited to pick up lunch on the patio down the third-base line and then enter the stadium to watch the game. Following the game, the Govs are hosting a free youth clinic to all kids 8th-grade and under – participants are advised to bring their gloves.

“Dine on our Dime” is a joint venture, hosted in part by the Austin Peay Office of Admissions, Austin Peay Public Relations and Marketing, and Austin Peay Athletics. For more information contact Alaric Klinghard at APSU (931-221-7615) or Kari Burgess at USO (931-542-3090).
