TWRA extends deadline to May 10th for 4th Annual Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit (TOYS)

 

Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit set for June 9th-14th

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has announced there is space available for those wishing to attend the Fourth Annual Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit (TOYS), June 9th-14th, 2013. The summit is for high school students from across Tennessee.

The application deadline has been extended to May 10th, 2013.

Richview Middle School Girls and Boys Golf Teams advance to Region Tournament

 

Richview Middle SchoolClarksville, TN – Richview Middle School saw both its girls and boys golf teams advance to the region tournament, May 2nd at Swan Lake Golf Course, as the Lady Cowboys won the District M2 title — while the Cowboys finished second to Cheatham County Middle School.

The region tournament will be held in Nashville, TN at the Two Rivers Golf Course on May 6th and 7th, with the participating teams playing an hole 18-round each day.

Austin Peay State University Baseball begins final month of the season hosting Morehead State

F&M Bank announces Promotions

 

F&M BankClarksville, TN – F&M Bank has announced the following promotions of four veteran mortgage employees, according to Sammy Stuard, bank CEO and president.

Denise Alexander, vice president and operation manager for F&M’s mortgage department has been promoted to senior vice president of F&M Bank.

Yvonne Witzler, assistant vice president and manager of F&M’s mortgage office in Clarksville has been promoted to vice president of F&M Bank.

Clarksville Police arrest third suspect in Home Invasion

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Wednesday May 2nd, there was a home invasion at 770 Needmore Road. Clarksville Police now have a third suspect in custody and has identified a fourth suspect.

There is no further information at this time as the investigation is still ongoing.

Andriy Kovalskyy named 2013 Hawkins Award Winner at APSU

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Dr. Andriy Kovalskyy, associate professor of physics, was named the recipient of Austin Peay State University’s prestigious Richard M. Hawkins Award during a ceremony on April 29th.

The award is presented every spring in recognition of exceptional scholarly and creative work produced by a faculty member.

Clarksville Police report shots fired during Home Invasion on Needmore Road

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Wednesday May 2nd, at 1:34pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a shots fired call at 770 Needmore Road.

Upon arrival it was determined that 3 suspects (White, Males) forced entry into the victim’s apartment, tied them up, and took undisclosed property.
