It is the third consecutive year Harper has received all-district honors. With his first team selection, he will be placed on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration. Last year, Harper gained further accolades with his selection to the Capital One Academic All-America Third Team.

Harper, of Clarksville, is a chemistry major and finished the fall semester with a 3.46 grade-point average. He has been named to the APSU athletic director’s honor roll each of his seven semesters and been named to the Ohio Valley Conference’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll (3.25 GPA for the academic year) each of the previous three years.

On the field, Harper has started every game of his collegiate career – a streak of 220 consecutive games played entering this weekend’s series against Morehead State. He is ranked third on Austin Peay’s career hits list with 250 hits and was the 14th Govs hitter to reach the 200-hit plateau. That hits mark is one of 13 statistical categories he is ranked among the top 25.

In addition, he was one of 27 shortstops named to the Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award Watch List – the second consecutive year he was named to the watch list.
