Nashville Sounds beat Round Rock Express in 12-Innings, 7-5

 

Nashville SoundsRound Rock, TX - The Nashville Sounds blew a ninth-inning lead but recovered to post a 7-5, 12-inning victory over the Round Rock Express on Monday evening at The Dell Diamond.

In the top of the twelfth, the Sounds snapped a string of 16 consecutive batters retired by Round Rock pitching when Blake Lalli reached on a one-out infield single off Nate Robertson (1-2). Josh Prince followed with a walk before Stephen Parker hit a liner to center that was misjudged by Engel Beltre, resulting in a go-ahead RBI double that put Nashville on top, 6-5. Anderson De La Rosa lifted a sac fly to right that gave the Sounds a two-run cushion.

Tennessee Labor & Workforce Development reports GED® Revision at End of Year Prompts Rush to Test Centers

 

Partial Completers Risk Having To Start Over In 2014

The Seal of the State of TennesseeNashville, TN – Tennesseans who have not taken the GED® high school equivalency test or who have passed some but not all parts of the GED® have only the remainder of 2013 to earn their high school credential under the current test structure, Tennessee Labor & Workforce Development Acting Commissioner Burns Phillips announced.

Beginning January 1st, 2014, partial test scores will be invalid and will not transfer to the new high school equivalency test.

Tennesseans have between now and the end of the year to complete GED® partial tests.

As a family member pinned their new badge on each recipient, Chief Al Ansley proudly announced that Sergeant Ty Burdine and Sergeant Liane Wilson will now hold the rank of Lieutenant.

Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB) welcomes new commander at Fort Campbell

 

160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment - Soar - Night StalkersFort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne Division

Fort Bragg, NC – The Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB) bid farewell to Lt. Col. Mark G. Kappelmann and welcomed new commander Jeffery J. Bragg in a ceremony Friday at the Gen. Bryan “Doug” Brown Compound, Fort Campbell, KY.

In his last decision as the SOATB commander, Kappelmann made the weather call as rain persisted throughout the morning, moving the ceremony indoors to Fox Hangar.

Maj. Jeffery J. Bragg, who has served in the 160th SOAR (A) since 2010, most recently as the Regiment S3, receives the SOATB guidon from Brig. Gen. Clayton M. Hutmacher as he takes command Friday. Austin Peay State University’s Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf Tournament is July 12th-13th at Fort Campbell’s Cole Park

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Since having a successful inaugural event in 2010, the Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf Tournament has returned every summer to raise money for scholarships – and will do so again next month.

The Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Friday, July 12th and Saturday, July 13th at Cole Park at Fort Campbell, KY. The entry fee of $400.00 includes dinner, auction and scholarship presentation at 6:00pm, Friday, July 12th at the Bud Barn off Exit 19 on Interstate 24 and lunch at noon both days at Cole Park.

Red River Sirens vs. Nashville Roller Girls Brawl Stars, June 8th
