City of Clarksville’s Independence Day Celebration at Liberty Park July 3rd

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville is celebrating our nation’s independence this year with the sixth annual Independence Day Celebration at a new location.

Join us on Wednesday, July 3rd, at Liberty Park for food, fun and entertainment for the entire family. Activities begin at 6:00pm.

Local performers Brio will provide live music throughout the evening, followed by The Beagles and fireworks for the Grand Finale!

This year’s fireworks display will feature the largest fireworks shells ever to be shot at the City of Clarksville’s Independence Day Celebration.

In addition to musical entertainment, vendors will offer a variety of favorite foods, including kettle corn, hotdogs, funnel cakes, shaved ice, chocolate dipped cheesecake and more.

Guests are encouraged to park at the 7-acre grass area adjacent to the park, located at 1188 Cumberland Drive. Clarksville Transit System will provide free rides to and from the designated parking area beginning at 4:00pm with the last bus departing from Liberty Park promptly at 10:30pm.

Liberty Park will be closed to the public beginning at sunrise on Wednesday, July 3rd and will reopen at sunrise on Thursday, July 4th. Due to limited parking within Liberty Park, only event staff and vehicles with handicapped license plates or placards will be allowed to park within the premises.

Boats with trailers will be allowed to access the boat ramp parking area until 8:00pm or until the parking area has been filled.

For safety reasons, no boats will be allowed to enter or exit the area between 8:00pm and 10:00pm.

We ask that all attendees abide by some event rules at the Independence Day Celebration:

  • No roaming solicitation.
  • No weapons.
  • No pets allowed during event.
  • No drugs or alcoholic beverages allowed.
  • No fighting or foul language allowed.
  • No personal fireworks.
  • No personal grills.

This year’s event is presented by The City of Clarksville and sponsored by U.S. Bank, The Leaf-Chronicle, Lamar Advertising, Clarksville Family Magazine and Clarksville Transit System.
