The two Govs, both pitchers, were part of several guest readers that included Montgomery County Sherriff John Fuson, Fort Campbell Command Sergeant Major Mark Herndon and U.S. Bank President Steve Kemmer, along with several others.

Belew read Casey at the Bat by Ernest Thayer to a group of more than 20 children taking part in the program. Imagination Library is a free national program that provides a book a month to any child from birth to age five. The APSU duo made a “pitch” to the children about the importance of reading.

Austin Peay head football coach Kirby Cannon was among the program’s guest readers earlier in the week.
