Fort Campbell 101st Airborne Division Headquarters Soldier dies in Afghanistan

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – A Fort Campbell Soldier died June 28th, 2013 in a non-combat related incident at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The Army says it is investigating Rogers’ death.

Sergeant Justin Richard Rogers, 25, of Barton, NY, was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) as a horizontal construction engineer.

He joined the Army in March 2008.

Rogers’ awards include two Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.

Rogers is survived by his parents, Stan J. Vicki and Teresa A. Vicki, both of Barton, NY, and his spouse, Stefanie R. Rogers, resides on Fort Campbell, KY, and his daughter Nateli R. Rogers, who resides on Fort Campbell, KY.
