Crye-Leike’s Middle Tennessee agents made the company’s 2013 backpack campaign for Youth Villages another great success with the Realtors collecting over 150 backpacks stuffed with thousands of dollars of school supplies.

“The Youth Villages mission to help kids and families live successfully is a mission that’s at the heart of all Crye-Leike Nashville sales associates and employees as our backpack campaign strives to serve as many Middle Tennessee children as possible with new school supplies and backpacks,” said Crye-Leike Cofounder and CEO Harold Crye. “Many of our agents look forward to shopping for that special backpack or certain kind of notebook, pen or pencil set that they think the kids will enjoy each year.”

Remembering the excitement of what it’s like to start school and get lots of new stuff, Crye-Leike associates are eager to participate in the Youth Villages ‘Backpack Heroes Campaign’ each year to help ensure that the kids in the agency’s care in Middle Tennessee get the same fresh start to school as every other child.

Over the past several years, Crye-Leike associates have donated thousands of backpacks and thousands of dollars of school supplies to Youth Villages. The company’s agents are always excited to buy the newest cool school supplies that they imagine will bring a smile to the face of a child in need.

“We’ve seen the donations from our agents and staff give the children at Youth Villages a big boost in their self esteem and feel more comfortable with their classmates at the start of a new school year,” said Crye. “By providing school supplies for these children, we’re letting them know that they are important and special to our community. A solid education and great schools keep our children and communities thriving and strong, and we hope our small effort helps to make a big difference in these children’s lives.”

Youth Villages Development Manager Greg Schott says, “Because of what Crye-Leike’s Realtors do, these kids get to attend school with new folders, paper, pencils and backpacks giving them the chance to feel the same thrill the other kids do when getting new supplies that they can truly call their own. It gives the kids an opportunity to have something brand new and shows them they can trust grown-ups who are willing to help kids they don’t even know.”
