Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program announces new member Kirk Steer

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) Steering Committee is pleased to announce Kirk Steer as its newest member.

Steer is the plant manager of the Clarksville, TN Hendrickson USA, L.L.C. location.

“Hendrickson values good stewardship of its resources and effective and efficient use of those resources is practiced to maximize profits for long term goals,” said Steer. “We know good management of resources means good management of a company’s bottom line.”

Hendrickson is an international company that specializes in manufacturing parts for large commercial trucks. The Clarksville location specializes in trailer suspension systems.

The first class of Clarksville-Montgomery County’s Green Certification Program began a little more than two years ago and will have reached 100 organizations by the end of this year. “The committee is looking forward to the insight Mr. Steer will bring in working with us to move the program forward,” said Michelle Newell, CMCGCP Manager.

The CMCGCP is led by members of the Steering Committee who also include: Tim Shaw of Montgomery County Government; John Hooper of Page & Tuttle; Aditya Singh of Trane; Ron Smithfield, Smithfield Manufacturing, Inc.; Daniel Binkley, City of Clarksville and Darin Cooper of Nyrstar.
