Nashville Sounds defeat Round Rock Express 4-3

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN - The Nashville Sounds treated 9,501 fans to a 4-3 win over the Round Rock Express Saturday night at Greer Stadium, scoring all of their runs in the fifth inning and surviving a late Express rally.

After four scoreless innings, the Sounds attacked Express starter Scott Richmond (4-6) for four runs in the fifth inning.

Hunter Morris led off the frame with a double to the right-field corner and scored on Hainley Statia double in the following at-bat. Blake Lalli singled to move Statia to third and set the table for Josh Prince, who reached on an RBI-fielder’s choice.

Tennessee Department of Agriculture names Shanna Lively Food and Dairy Administrator

 

The Tennessee Department of AgricultureNashville, TN – Tennessee Department of Agriculture Commissioner Julius Johnson today announced the appointment of Shanna Lively as food and dairy administrator.

Clarksville Gas and Water announces Commerce Street Closure Scheduled for Water Main Work

 

Monday, August 19th, 2013

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water will close a section of Commerce Street on Monday, August 19th, 2013, at 9:00am until 2:30pm from Glenn Street to South Eleventh Street for ongoing water main replacement work on Brooks Alley. Construction crews will be working on Brooks Alley and Myrtle Drive for the next 2-3 weeks.

Area residents may experience low water pressure and short-term water outages throughout the duration of the project.
