Nashville Sounds final four-game homestand begins Friday, August 30th

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds will host the division-rival Iowa Cubs (Chicago Cubs affiliate) to a four-game series at Greer Stadium from Friday, August 30th, to Monday, September 2nd, for the team’s final homestand of the 2013 season, presented by the Nashville SCENE.

The homestand will be highlighted by two fireworks shows, one Sounds CARE jersey auction, Fan Appreciation Day and a special night in which the Sounds will honor the South Nashville Little Leaguers.

Friday, August 30th

Nashville Sounds vs. Iowa Cubs
7:05pm (Gates Open at 6:05pm)

At the opener, three lucky fans will compete for a pair of tickets to the 2013 SEC Football Championship in Atlanta, courtesy of Dr. Pepper. Every fan attending the game can sign up to compete for the prize by visiting Fan Relations, but only three fans will be selected at the Sounds discretion as finalists. The night will conclude with a Friday Fireworks Extravaganza.

Fans attending Friday’s game with a group of 20 or more can receive special $8.00 per person ticket pricing by ordering in advance.

Saturday, August 31st

Nashville Sounds vs. Iowa Cubs
6:35pm (Gates Open at 5:35pm)

The Nashville Sounds will honor and celebrate the South Nashville Little Leaguers on Saturday evening at Greer Stadium. The recent Little League World Series participants will attend the game and be announced on the field alongside Sounds players prior to the start of the game.

To honor of their achievement, the Sounds will be sporting the team’s black and teal Southeast Little League hats during the game.

In between innings, fans will be treated to the antics of the Diaper Doozies, a national entertainment group that features “the most entertaining babies you’ve ever seen”. The game will be followed by a special fireworks show courtesy of Nashville’s NEWS 2.

Sunday, September 1st

Nashville Sounds vs. Iowa Cubs
6:35pm (Gates Open at 5:35pm)

Sunday’s game is Piedmont Natural Gas Military Sunday presented by Tennessee 811, where servicemen/women, veterans, and their families receive $5.00 off reserved or general admission tickets with a valid Military ID; limit 5 discounted tickets per ID.

The Sounds will be wearing their popular military jerseys, which can be purchased during an in-game silent auction on the concourse at Greer Stadium, which benefits the Nashville Sounds Foundation. Fans with winning bids will get the opportunity to meet their player on the field after the game to receive their jersey.

The Sounds jersey auction nights are a part of the Sounds CARE (Community Awareness Responsibility Effort) Program, which was created by the Nashville Sounds Foundation and the Nashville Sounds Community Relations department to highlight non-profit organizations during the season.

Also taking place on Sunday will be the Sounds Faith and Family Sundays, where fans can receive $5.00 off tickets by presenting a church or community bulletin at the Sounds Advance Financial Box Office; limit eight discounted tickets per bulletin.

Monday, September 2nd

Nashville Sounds vs. Round Rock Express
12:05pm (Gates Open at 11:05am)

Monday afternoon’s 12:05pm contest on Labor Day will be the last home game of the regular season, as the Sounds extend a warm thank you to their fans on Fan Appreciation Day.

This special afternoon, dedicated to the fans, consists of many between-inning giveaways and autographs from the players at the gates.

Fans can enjoy concession stands filled with discounted ‘throwback’ pricing, such as $2.00 beer, $2.00 soft drinks, $2.00 popcorn, and $2.00 nachos. Hot dogs will cost only $1.00 for Dollar Dog Night.

Fans attending Monday’s season finale with a group of 20 or more can receive special $5.00 per person ticket pricing by ordering in advance.
