Clarksville Gas and Water reports Sewer Rehab Work to Resume

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water sewer rehab maintenance work that began this spring will resume on Tuesday, September 3rd. Contract crews will be working in North Clarksville on Jamestown Place, East and West Bel Air Boulevards, Concord Drive and Yorktown Drive and will continue through the next several months in various areas of Clarksville.

The rehab work requires temporarily sealing of customer sewer connections to the main line and residents are asked to limit water and toilet use or any activity that would send water into household drains and sewer lines. This will help avoid sewer backup during the sewer rehab process.

The sewer rehab contractor mails advance notification letters to residents to help them prepare for the dates they will be affected. They also make door-to-door visits to inform residents in person of the work to be performed or to leave an informative door hanger.

Work schedules and street location updates will be released to local media outlets as work progresses. Updates can also be viewed on the City of Clarksville, Gas and Water website, www.clarksvillegw.com.
