Clarksville Red Cross to Host Ante Up for the Red Cross Event

Roaring 20’s Themed “Night at the Cotton Club” Fundraiser

American Red CrossClarksville, TN – The Two Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting “Ante Up for the Red Cross” to be held on Saturday, November 9th from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.

The event will be hosted at Tanglewood House located at 1601 Madison Street. Tickets are $75.00 each and include food, entertainment and a silent auction. To reserve your tickets, please call 931.645.6401 or register and purchase tickets online at www.redcross.org/anteup2013.

“We are very excited to host this unique event that will help raise vital funds in the community that we use to help our neighbors in need who affected by disasters every day,” said Executive Director, Julie Campos. “We want to encourage our guests to take a step back in time with us to the days of 1920’s Cotton Club with Dapper Gents and Flapper Ladies and to dress to impress in vintage style.”

Event sponsorships are still available. The Two Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross provides vital emergency assistance to help victims of local disasters in Benton County, Dickson County, Henry County, Houston County, Humphreys County, Montgomery County, and Stewart County, along with Fort Campbell, KY and Land Between the Lakes.

Over the past year the Chapter trained 2,354 people in CPR & First Aid, Babysitting and Aquatics training, and provided services including emergency messaging to 582 cases and referrals to 443 military members. Over 121 blood drives, collecting 4010 units of blood. Volunteers helped respond to 110 local disasters. We helped over 1419 affected individuals and families with emergency food, shelter and supplies. All of these services are made possible by over 408 dedicated local Red Cross volunteers as well as through generous gifts from the local community.
