Anthony Bradley named APSU Athlete of the Week

APSU - Austin Peay State University SportsClarksville, TN – Senior Anthony Bradley, of Austin Peay State University men’s golf team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

Bradley shared the Ohio Valley Conference Male Golfer of the Week award with Jacksonville State’s Tomasz Anderson after shooting a three-round 215 (72-70-73) to lead the Govs to a third-place finish at the Columbia Regional Preview.

The Ivybridge, Devon (England) native tied for ninth in the event, held at The Club at Old Hawthorne – Bradley hopes to return in May, when the Club will serve as an NCAA Regional site host. The weekly award from the OVC is the fourth of Bradley’s APSU career.

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Tuesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included

Freshman outside hitter Sammie Ebright, of the volleyball team, was named to the All-Tournament team at the Tiger Invitational, producing 12 kills against UALR and 11 kills in the Lady Govs victory against La Salle.

Freshman tailback Omar Williams, of the football team, rushed for 103 yards on 13 carries in the Govs loss at Ohio, including a 57-yard fourth quarter run that was the Govs longest play from scrimmage in 2013.
