Go Commando Liberty Fun Run Promotes Health & Fitness for Kids 10 & Under

Go Commando Half Marathon and 5kClarksville, TN – Children 10 and under now have an event geared just for them at the Go Commando Half Marathon & 5K, presented by CDE Lightband.

The 2013 Liberty Fun Run, presented by Premier Medical Group, will bring children into a non-competitive event that promotes fun, exercise and good sportsmanship.

After the Half Marathon and 5K are completed, families are encouraged to stay and cheer on their children in this untimed, mile-long race.

Each child who participates will receive a finisher’s medal, free Nestlé chocolate milk and the bragging rights that they got to Go Commando too!

The Fun Run will begin at 11:00am on October 19th and the entire course is completely inside Liberty Park.

The children will run on the paved walkways and roads, and no cars will be allowed in or out of the park during the race to ensure that the children are safe and secure. Parking will be available outside the park at satellite-parking areas.

Parents and older siblings are encouraged to walk or run with the 10 and under participants for no additional cost. Only paid, registered children will receive the finisher’s medal. Inflatables and entertainment will be available for children to enjoy during the Half Marathon and 5K.

The cost for the Fun Run is only $5.00 per participant, and like all other proceeds, the money will go to help local non-profits in the Clarksville-Montgomery County community. But hurry, space will sell out before race weekend and Go Commando doesn’t want anyone to miss out on the fun.

Those interested can visit the race site online at, www.gocommandoclarksville.com/races/liberty-fun-run, for more information on how to register.
