Customs House Museum Presents the 3rd Annual Laying Low

Clarksville's Customs House Museum and Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 12th, Laying Low is back for its third installment to benefit the Customs House Museum. Originally created as a laid-back alternative to the annual Flying High fundraiser, Laying Low is an outdoor event suitable for the fall season.

Guests can expect a fun evening with beer, bonfires to cozy up to, and a barbecue dinner by Mark Weakly.

Live music will be performed by local favorite The Beagles. Festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. and will last into the evening until 10:00 p.m. The event will be hosted at Daffodil Hill, the home of Garnett and Nancy Ladd, at 2100 Madison Street.

“Laying Low is the perfect laid back event. Mark Weakly does a fantastic job cooking the food and The Beagles play the perfect dance music. What better combination can you ask for?” says Nancy Ladd, event co-chair and host. “Just throw on some jeans and boots and join us at what I think is the perfect location.”

Tickets are $50.00 per person. To purchase tickets, contact Linda Maki at 931.648.5780.

Laying Low has the generous support of its sponsors, including Budweiser of Clarksville, Ajax Distributing, Regions Bank, and Cumberland Bank. Funds generated from Laying Low go towards exhibits and educational programming at the museum.

Located at the corner of Second and Commerce Streets, the Customs House Museum is the second largest general museum in Tennessee. Regular museum hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sundays.
