Clarksville Police report Traffic Accident at Highway 76 and Old Farmers Road

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 12th, at approximately 2:53pm, Clarksville Fire Rescue Engine 20 was in route to a fire call on Hedgerow Lane utilizing air horn, siren, and lights (all available emergency equipment).

While stopped on Hwy 76 median, waiting for traffic to stop and yield, all 3 fire fighters witnessed both lanes of north bound traffic, on Hwy 76, come to a complete stop.

They also observed a Black Chevrolet S-10 continuing at a high rate of speed, failing to decelerate; switch from the left lane to the right lane, and strike the stationary motorcycle from behind, sending both its occupants into the intersection.

Engine 20 fire fighters quickly responded to the injured and called dispatch to report the crash.

Francisco Jimenez was operating the 2004 Chevrolet S-10, which struck the 2007 Custom Harley Davidson, carrying Timothy Cutrell, of Pleasant View, and his 16 year old daughter, that was the rear passenger. Both left the scene by ambulance and were transported, by Life Flight, to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Cutrell has sustained some serious internal injuries and has several surgeries ahead to correct complications caused by the collision. The 16 year old  had serious injuries as well, but no broken bones.

The latest update on the 16 year old was that she is doing well.
